SAFE Southport OTS News

Anyone reading this who either has a disability or looks after a person who does will no doubt have at sometime experienced difficulty in accessing a public place or service. Chances are that this will have happened on more than one occasion. We all know the sort of problems that I am talking about and very often all we do is to moan about them to a family or friend.

Southport Access For Everyone (SAFE) is a voluntary group of people with or without a disability who are working to try and to improve access for disabled people to both services and premises in the Southport area.

We have our own website which can be viewed at www.southportaccessforeveryone.org The site, which is regularly updated shows details of our current projects, past successes and also gives the dates of our future meetings.

Anyone who would like more information about what we are trying to do, would like to become involved or would like our help with an access problem that either you, a friend or relative has had you can  contact us by e-mail on southportaccess@hotmail.co.uk, or  by telephone on 07866 531036. If you would prefer to come along to one of our meetings you would be more than welcome. They are held on the 4th Monday in the month (with the exception of August and December) at Victoria Methodist Church on Sussex Rd, Southport.
