South Sefton CCG & Southport & Formby CCG Funding for local VCF groups

Sefton CVS are pleased to announce that, following the success of the previous funding, the Southport and Formby and the South Sefton Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) have agreed to invest in a further round of grants to the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector in Sefton.

There are some similarities with the previous grant round, however there are some significant differences.

In the last two years there has been a great deal of analysis and consultation by the CCGs  and through the Health and Well-Being Board that has involved much input from the VCF sector as well as Sefton MBC and other partners.

Based on this work, the forthcoming grant round will be focused on the following priorities:

Adult Mental Health – Long Term Conditions
Older People – Social Isolation
Older People – Dementia
Children and Young People – Obesity
Children and Young People – Emotional Health and Well-Being
Children and Young People – Transitions
Organisations can apply for up to £50,000  in total, but can be part of consortia bids as well.

For smaller organisations with an income of less than £50,000 per year, there is to be a simpler application process for grants of up to £5000. The forms for this fund will be issued shortly and there will be 3 rounds during the year.

As with last time there will be an expectation that successful organisations will achieve the Star Standard Quality Assurance mark and will undertake a module of the Workplace Well-Being Chartermark

The closing date for applications is Thursday 24th April 2014.
