A pensioner was left with a bloody face and confused after taking a fall on a wet Chapel Street this afternoon, Saturday 28 February 2105.
The pensioner was knocked out by the fall but came around a short time later. Shoppers looked after the man who had also sustained a cut to his head.
A person who helped the man said:
“The man was clearly is shock, it was lucky that paramedics were treating a girl further down Chapel Street and could treat the man within minutes of his fall”.
The man was taken to Southport and Formby District General Hospital.
