Letter to the editor

My name in Maurine and today I was shocked to find two quads parked up in the disabled bays in Morrisons car park on probably the busiest day of the year (Sunday 20 September 2015).

These disabled bays are bigger and to be used by disabled people like myself who need equipment such as wheel chairs etc. These bays are bigger so we can open our doors wide enough to safely get out. They are not meant to be used for people who want to park closer to the front door, especially for youths on quad bikes.

The spaces in Morrison car park are so small that when it is busy like today and there are no disabled bays available I had to leave.

I think some information should be put out there to encourage able bodied people who don’t need disabled bays to park elsewhere and not be so selfish.
