Sefton to increase Southport car parking charges!

As part of Sefton Council’s plans to save money, recommendations have been put forward for parking charge increases in Southport. The recommendations will be discussed at today’s cabinet meeting, Thursday February 18

The charges, which have been recommended by the cabinet and will be discussed on Thursday, would come into effect on 1st June 2016

A 10p increase for drivers staying for an hour and 20p increase for drivers staying up to two hours are part of the new fees, with half hour rates abolished. Shoppers will instead pay a one hour minimum.
