And it’s still not even finished! A sign on the boating sheds in Botanic Gardens boasts that they are currently being redeveloped ahead of a glorious reopening for tourists to come and enjoy a leisurely boat ride down the Botanic Gardens lake. However unless your boat just also happens to be a time machine, you’ll find yourself in a bit of a tricky position. The sign was actually placed around the Gardens in 1997 and expectant amateur sailors have had twenty years of disappointment, waiting and eventual acceptance that the project will probably never be finished.
