People with dementia sometimes need a helping hand to go about their daily lives and feel included in their local community. Dementia Friends is giving people an understanding of dementia and the small things they can do that can make a difference to people living with dementia – from helping someone find the right bus to spreading the word about dementia. We would like to invite you to an information session, delivered by our very own trained Dementia Champions. You are free to attend one of the following dates, at our offices on the 3rd Floor, North Wing, Burlington House, Crosby Road North, Waterloo, L22 0LG; 1st August 8th August 21st August All of the above are scheduled to take place from 1.30pm until 3.30pm The aim of the information sessions are: ·To improve people’s understanding of dementia and its effects ·Learn a little bit more about what it’s like to live with dementia ·Encourages others to make a positive difference to people living with dementia in their community. They do this by giving them information about the personal impact of dementia, and what they can do to help. It’s easy to get involved and become part of a growing network of people creating dementia friendly communities together. Each session is limited to 15 people so we advise booking in advance. There is no parking available at Burlington House so we advise parking at the Crosby Civic Hall nearby.
