Racist graffiti has been along Balls Place in Southport town centre, which leads to Tulketh Street.

Racist and offensive language was sprayed on walls and shutters, with reference made to the English Defence League (EDL).

One angry resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said “The walkway is used as a meeting place for drunks and drug dealing, and now my neighbour has had s**t sprayed on the front of her home, it just sums the area up”.
