Sefton Carers Week 2014 June 6th, 2014 jmr jmr Latest News Latest Whats On Shares Comments To celebrate 21 years of supporting unpaid carers and to mark Carers Week 2014 which aims to raise national awareness of the work of unpaid carers, Sefton Carers Centre is running ‘Who Cares? We Do!’, an event at Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre between 10.30am – 2.30pm on Wednesday 11th June 2014. As well as having the opportunity to seek advice and information from some of the partner agencies we have worked with over the years (Alzheimers Society, Stroke Association, Age Concern Liverpool, Autism initiatives and ADHD Foundation to name a few), The Mayor of Sefton will be in attendance and carers will have the chance to try out: Meditation Make your own bathbombs Ballroom dancing Jewellrey making Gardening Singing workshops Art classes Hypnotherapy Welfare Benefits Advisors will also be on hand offering 15 minute slots. The aim of the day is to encourage carers to try something therapeutic to encourage them to try and find some time for themselves in their hectic lives.
