A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed they too had received a call, at 8.40am, Tuesday 13 October 2015
The collision happened at the Liverpool Road junction with Windy Harbour Road.
The child appeared to about 13-years-old. He was taken from the scene to hospital as he had sustained injuries to his leg and head.
