School girl struck by car on Bispham Road Southport

An 11-year-old schoolgirl has been injured following a collision with a car on Bispham Road in Southport this morning (October 7).

Merseyside Police at the scene said: “The car involved remained at the scene of the collison.

“The girl appears to have suffered leg injuries and she was taken on to hospital.

“We don’t know the extent of her injuries at this time.”

Bispham Road was closed for short time this morning, but has since been reopened again.
