School Admissions for 2014 September 3rd, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments Parents and carers in Sefton can now apply online for their child’s school places for September 2014. By logging on to www.sefton.gov.uk/admissionsthe site leads parents or carers to an application form with all the guidance they need to complete it. Applications for Reception places starting in September 2014 are open between September 1, 2013, and January 15, 2014, and for a Secondary School place between September 1, 2013, and October 31, 2013. Information Booklets for both primary and secondary schools in Sefton are also available on the Sefton Council website to help people with their choices. People who do not have the internet at home can also make full use of free access at most Sefton libraries. Any parents that cannot access the internet can still complete a paper application form and these need to be received by the above timescales. Forms are available by contacting the Sefton Schools Admissions Team on 0151 934 3590. Letters will be posted out next year to officially notify parents and children about their school allocation. Those who have applied online will also receive notification by email. Cllr Ian Moncur, Cabinet Member Children, Schools, Families and Leisure, said: “The school admissions process can sometimes appear complicated for some people but by applying online it should hopefully help make it easier. “By seeing things on a screen and being able to type an application is often much better for many people who are used to dealing with computers through work or at home.
