Santander Southport to host National Initiative Day called Take Five – to stop fraud!

On Thursday 16th March 2017 Santander on Chapel Street, Southport are hosting a National Initiative Day called Take Five – to stop fraud.

The aim of the day is to educate our customers on how to protect themselves against scams and fraudulent activities as it is very rife at the moment.

Staff will have merchandise to hand out to the customers on the day and leaflets on how to protect themselves.

Miss Alex Masterson, who works in branch said: “We are also in touch with our local police to get one of their support officers down for a couple of hours to give customers the chance to air any questions to them too. We will also be having one of our colleagues from the Fraud Department to answer any questions that customers may have.”

“We have started to advertise the day already with posters in the branch and inviting customers to pop down if they wish. We will be open as normal that day too so customers visiting the branch ordinarily can get involved.

“We also want to encourage other members of the community to come down and get involved too if they have any questions or want to learn more about protecting themselves against scams. It’s not only our customers that can benefit from this event, everyone can.”
