The nine men, who ran safe houses for the gang’s leaders or acted as couriers taking drugs up to Scotland, were jailed for a total of 90 years. It takes the current total for Operation Blenheim, the Titan-led investigation into drugs supply between the North-west of England and Scotland, to 210 years. Eight men from the Scottish faction and two other Merseysiders are still to be sentenced. Today’s sentences are: Safehouse/storage Christopher Riley, aged 43, of Jason Walk, L5 – 10 years, eight months Roy Breeze, aged 40, of Lapworth Street, L5 – three years Colin Harrison, aged 60, of Patmos Close, L5 – eight years Couriers James Welsh, aged 26, of Cardigan Way, L6 – eight years Kevin O’Shea, aged 30, of Adelaide Road, L7 – 11 years, four months Liam Clotworthy, aged 30, of Saxony Road, L7 – 10 years, eight months Anthony Breen, aged 47, of Linton Street, L4 – 10 years, eight months Kenneth Fletcher, aged 51, of Barnton Close, L20 – 10 years Kevin Jackson, aged 60, Pendennis Street, L6 – six years, eight months David Chambers, aged 32, of Washbrook Aveneue, CH43 – six years Abraham Salim, aged 34, of Rutland Street, Preston – five years Sentencing will resume in the morning (Friday).
