RTC Sussex Road Southport Biker in hospital with serious injuries April 5th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments RTC Sussex Road Southport Biker in hospital with serious injuries The emergency services were called to Sussex Road, Southport, at about 7:15pm tonight (Friday 5th April 2013) following reports of a RTC. Paramedics arrived on scene after about 20 minutes followed by four police vehicles to find an injured biker lying on the pavement surrounded by members of the public who were comforting the rider. The motorbike was hit by a car at the junction of Sussex Road and Windsor Road, Southport. Police have cordoned off Sussex Road to traffic from St Lukes Road to Windsor Road. The rider has sustained suspected serious injuries. Paramedics treated the rider at the scene before transferring him to Southport & Formby DGH. An investigation is underway into the cause of the accident.
