Event 1 Rosebank Care Home – Celebration on Wed 9th Sep 1230 – 1500 hrs. Rosebank is well versed in celebrating in style after we enjoyed our VE celebrations earlier this year. The home for leaning disabilities was awarded for its marketing imagination with the VE. The bunting and flags will be out

Rosebank Care Home in Southport is set to celebrate the Queen as the longest reigning monarch on Wed 9th Sep. Rosebank never misses an opportunity to  celebrate significant British events is set to hold a spectacular celebration in honour of Queen Elizabeth’s longest reign. Gill Young Registered Manager at Rosebank said ‘We love our events here at Rosebank. People are still talking about our VE celebrations drone pictures and our bedding sheets in the shape of a huge VE in the back garden. We have a lovely home and always going one step further to ensure our residents have a fulfilled and challenging life’ Plans are in place for the 9th Sep. Relatives, family and friends have been invited to this very special day. A letter has been sent to the Royal Household to inform them of our Royal Party plans, so if the Queen isn’t doing anything else who knows, she may just pop in!

 

Event 2 Crosby Road, Southport  Royal Street Party Sun 13th 1230 – 1800 hrs All sat down by 1330 hrs

After their last Royal street party in 2013 to celebrate the Royal Golden Jubilee Crosby Road has an even greater spectacle planned to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s longest reign.

Joanne and Jonathan Cunningham MBE organisers of the street party have been several months planning this event. Planned for Sunday 13th Sep 1230 – 1800 hrs all attendees have been requested to be sat down by 1330 hrs for the official Royal photograph.

The table will be over 100m long and sit approx <1000 people. A small charge will be made with all proceeds going to the Southport Lifeboat Trust. Adults £5 and children FREE. Pay on the day but intended attendees are requested to inform the organisers that they are attending for numbers. Jonathan said ‘It isn’t every day you get the opportunity to celebrate our amazing monarchy. Having served in the Armed Forces for 16 years this is an important day for us all. During these turbulent times it is important to be proud of our Britishness and celebrate our Queen’s amazing achievement.’

The event is open to all, you don’t have to live in Crosby Road but number are restricted due to the space and tables availability.
