They have raised nearly £4000 in two and a half years and supported charities including Southport Spinal unit, Queenscourt Hospice, Seftons Women’s and Children’s Aid and Alderhey hospital. Through their summer concert last year, they raised enough money to put on a trip for parents and children through Home Start in Southport. The Choir love performing and will support any charity event locally and sing songs from a range of styles such as musicals, folk music, spirituals and even Bruno Mars. Although Roundelay is quite a large choir, they would love to see more men join them. Lynda said: “We have a summer concert coming up at Marshside Methodist church on Monday 15th July at 7.30pm and we will be supporting Southport Samaritans. Its free entry so we hope we will see lots of people on the night and if you would be interested in joining, please come and talk to us. And, if you know a man who enjoys singing, bring them along too. You don’t have to read music, just love music.” Submit News Contact us with your community, business or sport news.
