Race for Life Southport 2013 (VIDEO)
Race for Life Southport 2013 got underway at 10:05am this morning (Sunday 9th June 2013) in Victoria Park, Southport.
1,200 runners took part in today’s event raising £70,000 for Cancer Research
Race for Life is part Cancer Research UK which is the World’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research.
The Race for Life events are the largest series of women only fundraising events in the UK. Cancer Research ground breaking work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has seen survival rates double in the last 40 years. The events involve running, jogging or walking a 5K or 10K course and raising sponsorship to fund our life-saving work.
