Police forced to step up patrols on Southport’s Kings Gardens.

David Roberts from Southport has praised police officers for stepping up patrols in Kings Gardens.

Dave said: “It’s Great to see Merseyside Police on the streets in Southport tonight, saw quite a few sets of them patrolling around Southport. These two were in Kings Gardens. Great work!”

In recent months the area has suffered some vandalism, with vandals tearing down stone ballustrades on at least two occasions.

Zara Weston said: “Nice to see some positive news! Especially after BID trying to implement a private army! I saw a number of them last Friday whilst in town and was great to see. Saw them speaking to a number of youths!”

Another Person said: “Only doing what they’re paid to do …great work my ass”
