UPDATE: Brand Interiors was closed due to very high winds

Merseyside police came the Tulketh Street store (Saturday 10 January) after being contacted by the Store Manager from Brand Interiors who was concerned for the safety of the public after a large sign started to blow down in the very high winds. —  Southport Tulketh Street.

The Police cordoned off the area to allow the sign to come down without endangering pedestrians or passing vehicles.

After being contacted by the Store Manager Sefton Council also monitored the situation using their Security Camera on Tulketh Street in case the road needed to be closed.

The Police and the Store Manager then stayed outside to monitor the sittuation and make sure no one was in any danger. Once the remaining pieces of the sign had come down they where cleared up, the tape removed and Police left.
