A very loud burglar alarm at a residential address down Part Street, opposite Eastbank House, has been going off every hour for 10 minutes, including all night, for the last two days. Locals cannot sleep at night because of it but the police have ‘declined to act’
A local residents said: “The owners are away but they have left the cars in the drive. No lights are on. It has been going off since yesterday morning (Wednesday) at least which was when I returned home. It went off all last night and will probably do so all tonight too.
“The police are not treating it as a ‘high priority’. They also treat regular anti-social behaviour around here by a group of school kids the same way, but that is another story….We do feel a little abandoned around here”.
