Police called to woman threatening to kill her self on Southport Pier forecourt January 1st, 2016 jmr jmr Latest News Shares Comments Photo: Southport Pier forecourt (10.40pm) The emergency services were called to Southport Pier forecourt shortly after 10.30am this morning after a member of the public reported a woman acting erratically. When officers arrived they found the woman was under the influence of alcohol and she was claiming she was going to take her own life. A witness at the scene said: “The lady was clearly suffering the consequences from a very heavy New Years eve, the staff from Silcocks did a great job in calming her down and took her inside”.
