Police called to protesters against Sefton Council’s £35M budget cuts

Police were called Bootle Town Hall this evening (Thursday 28th February 2013) to deal with protesters against Sefton Council’s £35M budget cuts.

Mayor of Sefton Kevin Cluskey adjourned the 6:00pm meeting after just minutes into the meeting after repeated outbursts from the public gallery.

The council is set to pass cuts that will affect all areas of the authority, from street lights to burial fees.
