Police appeal for help in tracing man following a Maghull bike theft

5th February 2016

Merseyside Police are appealing for help in tracing a man they want to speak to in connection with a bike theft in Maghull.

The 16-year-old owner of the bike had left it unlocked next to trolleys outside the Co-Op Late Shop on Deyes Lane to go into the shop.

When he returned five minutes later he saw a person riding off on his bike towards School Lane.

Neighbourhood officers visited the shop and examined CCTV following the incident on January 11th.

They are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV stills as they believe he may have information that could help their investigation.

Anyone who recognises him is asked to call Merseyside Police on 0151 777 3702 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
