Police appeal following Radnor Drive burglary, Southport

Merseyside Police is appealing for the public’s help after a burglary at a house in Southport.

At about 3.30am today (Thursday, 21 July), officers received a report that entry had been forced via a back door to a property on Radnor Drive.

It is believed three offenders entered the house at around midnight and made an untidy search. Jewellery and keys were later found to have been taken.

Forensic examinations were carried out and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.

Detective Sergeant Jason Ennis told OTSNews.co.uk “I’d like to appeal to the consciences of the offenders and ask them to put themselves in the victim’s position and think how they would feel if this happened to them.

“I would ask for the them to do the right thing and return the stolen items to the owner in any way possible.

“We would also appeal to anyone who was in the Radnor Drive area at around midnight last night to contact us if they remember anything suspicious.”

Anyone who has any information is asked to call Sefton CID 0151 777 3055 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
