Pleasureland bosses vow to fix Miniature Railway after vandals strike

Pleasureland bosses have condemned mindless vandalism at the Lakeside Miniature Railway station.

A spokesperson for Pleasureland, who own the site, said: “There are at least 13 windows that have been smashed, the shelter at the start of the railway has also been smashed and two benches have been damaged, one of which was overturned onto the track.

” Norman is investing a huge amount at the moment on the actual track as no work had been done on it for years prior to his purchase of the railway in May this year.

“It’s heartbreaking to see. He has already invested heavily into the actual locomotives and we now have a specialist working with us to repair the track and do further work with the locomotives to get it up and running to it’s required standard next year.

“We will now have to spend time and resource on repairing the latest damage.”
