Southport pet owners warned about a sandwich laced with pins.

Dog owner Kathy Edwards urged fellow pet owners to be vigilant after her Pekingese dog, Yuki, nearly ate a pin sandwich down Ivy Street in Southport at around 7.20am on Monday morning.

She said: “Whilst walking Yuki down Ivy Street on Monday he very nearly ate half a ham sandwich off the street.

“On further inspection I found that this sandwich had small pins pushed into it which could have ended horrifically for my pup.

It has been disposed of and was clearly no accident.

Just keep a look out and keep a close eye on your dogs whilst they are sniffing about on walks!”
