Petition to bring back the dell – Or?

Local man, Jason McCormack has started an online petition to bring back the Blundell Arms on Upper Aughton Road, Southport.
The petition will be delivered to the brewery and Sefton Council if the petition achieves 100 signatures.

Jason says: “Allow the Upper Aughton Road community to run the Blundell Arms for the benefit of the community. We can make the pub great again better than anyone since JBO.”

“The area is already in decline through investment. prioritising Birkdale Village. Not that we don’t love Birkdale Village but nowhere has the same memories for us as the Blundell. Viva the Tea Rooms.”

Why is this important?

“The area around the Blundell provides a focus for the community.”

“With the pub now closed and boarded off due to vandalism, the scout hut and Air Training Corp are both vulnerable to the increased vandalism the Winter will bring. The takeaway and shop become a lottery where the winner gets sweets for his kids without abuse with no help in sight.”

“Bring back the Dell.”
