The emergency services were called to the Fairways Roundabout this morning, Tuesday 28 July 2015.
A witness reported at around 10.45am an elderly driver lost control and crashed head on into sign post.
The pensioner was treated at the scene for minor injuries and shock.
Police diverted traffic around the scene.
Fortunately no other vehicles were involved.
