UPDATE:

The family of Joan Bruce-Konuah said:

“Our beautiful mother has always been a strong force in our lives. Her faith was her strength and she in turn was our strength. She instilled in us a strong sense of the meaning of family, which she made the centre of her world.

Her unexpected death has left an enormous void in all of our lives. She had nothing but love in her heart and shared this equally amongst her children, grandchildren and great grandson. Mum was a selfless, warm hearted, gentle lady with a heart of gold and would help anyone who needed it.

She was a great raconteur sharing her youthful adventures of her days as a young nurse, her holiday adventures with her friends, how she met our late father and the many events that followed. She was witty and captivated us with her stories, which made you feel that you were actually there.

The love and support we have received from family, friends and those who knew mum has been overwhelming.  We have not been surprised to hear of all the good things she did to help others.

She was our greatest gift and blessing. We will miss her dearly and remember her with love and pride.

Rest in Peace Mum”
