The emergency services were called to Mornington Road shortly after 10am this morning following a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
The collision happened at the crossing on Mornington between two college buildings.
Police confirmed that the Road/crossing will remain closed as a precaution. The condition of the pedestrian is not thought to be serious at this time.
Local diversions are currently in operation.
