Sefton Council officials were today at the car park on The Promenade covering up the price sign. Sefton Council scrapped the half hour parking (70p) with drivers now having to pay a minimum 1 hour’s parking charge if they want to call into a shop. Sefton Council hope that this will bring in an extra £547,000 from motorists this year.
