Parents upset over packed lunches approach by Larkfield Primary School Southport April 29th, 2014 admin Latest News Shares Comments Larkfield Primary School Southport encourage kids to eat healthy Parents have been sent letters by Larkfield Primary School asking them to make healthier pack lunches for their children. One parent said: “I think its wrong to tell kids not to eat crisps and be photographing individual lunches, I never send chocolate or biscuits just low fat crisps yet our child was upset by this approach.” Another parent said: “Teachers are upsetting our children over pack lunches. Teachers are advising against chocolate and fizzy drinks etc, taking pictures of packed lunches and telling kids off for having crisps and handing certificates and treats to kids with healthier lunches. It’s not fare to do this to younger children, schools are supposed to teach not dictate. I know a lot of parents have raised concern with the headreacher over this” Submit News Contact us with your community, business or sport news.
