OUR SCHOOLS IN SOUTHPORT – WHAT PRICE DEMOCRACY? November 29th, 2012 admin Latest News Shares Comments Did you know that there are 14 vacant positions on governing bodies for schools across the Sefton MBC area? A number of these vacancies are in schools in wards where all the councillors are Labour Councillors. They are mostly in Bootle. And some of these have been left unfilled for up to TWO YEARS. Instead of filling vacant Governor posts, the Bootle Labour Cabinet prefer to meddle in Southport schools. So they choose to interfere with Meols Cop Hih School which moved forward magnificently under the Chairmanship of Governor Cllr Maureen Fearn and the excellent head teacher she helped to appoint. Bootle Labour Councillors don’t like the results of local elections in Southport. They have never won a single one in 40 years of Sefton MBC. So they decided to throw out Councillor Maureen Fearn, who the voters of Southport’s Kew Ward have re-elected again and again……….. and replace her….. …….with Mr Mike Nolan of the Labour Party, who the voters of Southport’s Norwood Ward have rejected whenever he has offered himself for election.
