Residents have been urged to take when traveling down the Coastal road cycle path between Southport and Ainsdale.
This morning (Saturday 5 September) cyclist Gary Burgess said:
“This open manhole was situated around half a mile from the Sands roundabout. I noticed that other manholes were also open along the road.
“A cyclist could easily run into one of them, so please take care”
