Old Ford Popular crashes off the Banks roundabout
The emergency services was called to A565 ‘Banks roundabout’ following reports of an RTC at around 8pm last night, Monday 20 March.
A witness told our reporter, “The driver of an old Ford Popular had lost control when existing the plough roundabout towards Southport.”
“Five police cars attended the scene, two ambulances and one paramedic response car”.
“The driver was laying on ground whilst paramedics attended his injuries”
The carriageway was closed to traffic and local diversions put in place whilst police were at the scene.
The man was transferred to hospital, his condition is unknown at the present time.
