O Come, All Ye Faithful to the King’s Gardens Christmas Special

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at King’s Gardens, Southport with new art and an outdoor screening of a classic yuletide movie sprinkling some festive cheer over the week ahead.

Taking place on Saturday, December 17, the gardens will be transformed into a winter wonderland with a hog roast, mulled wine and a variety of other hot food and drinks on offer. Visitors will be warmed by a range of classic festive songs by the Christmas Belles, while there will a range of arts and crafts activities to part in.

The main event, an outdoor screening of the iconic Christmas classic, It’s A Wonderful Life, will start at 3.45pm.

Ahead of the big Christmas event on December, 17, staff will be installing special shadow boxes throughout the gardens as part of the latest Green Machine art installation. The illustrations tell the story of Christmas from around the world through the eyes of Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer and were imagined and designed by the pupils.

Visitors are asked to wrap up warm to enjoy the festive spectacular and that the event is weather dependent.  You can keep up to date with all parks activities via twitter @SeftonCouncil or facebook.com/SeftonParks
