Norwood Councillor Gets Dangerous Tree Cut Back November 14th, 2014 jmr jmr Latest News Shares Comments Liberal Democrat Councillor Marianne Welsh on Bispham Road Keen eyed Marianne Welsh, a Liberal Democrat councillor in Norwood Ward recently saw a young schoolgirl get hit in the face by the branches of a overhanging tree in Bispham Road when walking along the pavement. Marianne took a photo of the offending tree and sent it to Sefton Council recommending the tree be cut back as a matter of urgency. Marianne says “I did not want someone else to be hit by these branches which were overhanging the pavement as a serious injury possibly to an eye could result”. Within 24 hours of Marianne reporting the tree its branches were pruned.
