Norovirus outbreak at Southport Hotel

OTS understands that Health officials are investigating a suspected outbreak of Norovirus after more than 17 cases were reported at a Southport Hotel.

The unnamed hotel is still open to the public.

A large number of people associated with the hotel had reported suffering from vomiting and diarrhoea over the past seven days.

Staff at the hotel are working with health officials and Sefton Council to implement infection controls.

They have urged anyone with symptoms to remain at home for 48 hours.

Sefton Council declined to comment on the matter as usual!
