Neighbourhood Watch June 28th, 2012 admin Latest News Shares Comments Neighbourhood Watch Residents can now discover more about their local area through a new mapping tool on the Sefton Council website. The ‘My Neighbourhood’ service allows people to insert their post code and unearth a range of information including local events, GP surgeries, dentists, schools and leisure centres. There are also details about councillors and MPs, plus a reminder about bin collection days and whether it is a grey or green wheelie bin week. The My Neighbourhood link can be accessed via the council website, on the right-hand side of the web page. Cllr Peter Dowd, Leader of Sefton Council, said: “This is another way for people to access local information quickly and easily, and efforts have been made to make the tool as user-friendly as possible. “It is very useful for some of the common queries that are received through our call centre and I would certainly encourage people to try it out. “In the future, the My Neighbourhood link might be used to include local consultations that are taking place and we are keen to hear suggestions about any other information that could be featured.” Put your postcode in the My Neighbourhood box and see what’s happening near you.
