This year, National Neighbourhood & Home Watch Week is being held during the week of 20th-28th June 2015. It is an annual awareness-raising campaign to promote Neighbourhood Watch and Home Watch to the general public alongside topical crime prevention information.
The focus this year is on the important issue of phone scams. Crime statistics continue to show crime falling across the country but reports of scams of this nature have risen sharply in recent years as criminals change their tactics.
Financial Fraud Action UK are working to raise awareness of phone scams and in 2014 launched the Hang up on fraud campaign. It’s only by spreading the word as widely as possible that we can help to defeat the criminals. Please use this opportunity to look after your relatives, friends and others in your community.
