National Hospice Carer’s week in Southport October 30th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments On Thursday 10th October to support National Hospice carers week Deborah Hall, administrator from Moisters of Southport joined four volunteers from Queenscourt Hospice for lunch at The ‘Metro’ restaurant in Southport. The volunteers selected by Queenscourt were a couple called Tony & Gill. Tony works on the reception desk and is also involved in fundraising. Gill works in the retail department. Maureen who works in Lottery and Ivan who works in the retail department. The guests were chauffeured to the lunch in a limousine by Funeral Service Opreative Steve Lloyd. The event was organised by funeral director Ragan Galley. Ragan said ‘ When the Metro found out why we were bringing the volunteeers for lunch they very kindly offered to pay for the meals so it was a real community effort’ The volunteers had a lovely time and we were able to find out more about the valuable work they do in Southport.
