Mystery surrounds sudden closure of Rueters Southport

Mystery surrounds the sudden closure of Rueters Bar & Brasserie on Hoghton Street, Southport.

The exact reason for the closure is not known, but OTSNews.co.uk has learnt that the brewery are involved and a number of staff have been left unpaid.

An anonymous eye witness said: “Piles of post delivered to the pub has pilled up in the porch. The bar area looks like it has been abandoned.”

A notice on the window says “Rueters will be closed today due to illness”

Another poster says “Rueters will be closed on Sundays until further notice”
