The mini posters, which only contain a single ‘hashtag’ and a date (New Years Day 2016) have appeared around the resort at a number of hidden places – with residents baffled as to what they mean.

So far signs have been discovered underneath Marine Way Bridge, on the scaffolding on the former McDonalds site on King Street and on Victoria Way near to Morrisons.

The sign underneath Marine Way Bridge simply says ‘#Fernley’ while on King Street the poster says ‘#130Years’ – with all of them dated January 1, 2016.
Although only a few have been discovered, it’s thought that more have been spotted around the town
It is not yet known why the signs have been erected or what they are for – residents may have to wait until later this year to find out.
