A MYSTERY message has been discovered by decorators helping to renovate a Southport home.
The message, which was hidden on a wall in the bedroom of a property on Linaker Street in the town, dates back to 1958 – and lay undiscovered for nearly sixty years before it was found by Southport man Mike Loftus.
It appears to advertise the handywork of a group of builders named S Harrison and Son who were based at 33 Matlock Avenue in Birkdale and is dated on March 5, 1958.
Mike said: “Stripping a bedroom at a friends on Linacre St came across this bit of history, Hope it means something to someone!”
