MP’s SOUTHPORT ENERGY QUESTION TIME December 5th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments Southport’s Lib Dem MP Dr John Pugh has pulled the big Energy Companies to Southport to speak directly to their Southport customers about escalating bills and what can be done to keep them down.Dr Pugh has organised a public meeting on Friday 6th December at the Salvation Army, Shakespeare Street 2pm-4pm where Energy Company bosses will answer questions from the public, local businesses and customers. “In the current climate, it’s a brave move for the Energy companies to agree to engage with the public in this way. They apparently feel they have a story to tell and perhaps have some solutions to both the nation and individuals’ problems.” ” Either way, I feel this type of open meeting is a way of getting across not only citizens’ problems but also what the underlying issue are in the energy debate.” ” There’s nobody in Southport untouched by this issue and probably no-one without a view. What we have here is a golden opportunity for everyone to lay their cards on the table. All are invited.” Submit News Contact us with your community, business or sport news.
