Jason Fyles, went missing two weeks ago following a night out in Newcastle, where he moved to study town planning. The 19-year-old’s parents Ian and Caroline have spent days walking the streets of Newcastle and giving out flyers with his picture on. Friends of the student have set up a Facebook page to keep people up to date with the progress of the search. Police are continuing to look through CCTV in the hope of piecing together where Jason went on the night he disappeared. Officers have also been dredging nearby water around Newcastle. Jason was last seen at a house in Helmsley Road in Newcastle’s Sandyford area, at around 2.45am on May 16. He had been on a night out with friends in Newcastle city centre, and officers are trying to piece together exactly what happened while he was in Sam Jack’s bar at The Gate and then Tup Tup Palace in St Nicholas Street, plus what happened in the early hours of that Thursday morning. Police know that Jason left Tup Tup Palace shortly before 1.30am on the morning he disappeared, then spoke to a stranger in the street at around 2.25am to ask for directions.
