Merseyside Police is becoming increasingly concerned for the whereabouts of two girls, who have been missing since last night (Thursday, 17 December).

Marnie Maxwell, 13 years,  is missing from her home in Carrfield Avenue, Waterloo, with her 14-year-old friend Jessica Newton, who lives in Rimrose Valley Road, Crosby, since around 8.30pm last night.

Marnie is described as white, 4ft 11in tall, of slim build with long brown hair. It is not known what she was wearing. Jessica is described as white, around 5ft 6in tall, of medium build with ginger/brown hair. It is not known what Jessica was wearing.

Officers believe the girls are together and the pair are known to frequent Liverpool city centre.

Officers would urge Marnie and Jessica, or anyone who has seen them since last night (Thursday, 17 December), to contact 0151 777 3676 / 3674, or the Missing Persons Charity on 116 000.
