Fears are growing for safety of ginger-haired 19-year-old student Jason Fyles who vanished after a row with pals in Newcastle-on-Tyne. Town Planning student Jason vanished in the early hours after a night out that turned sour. Friends and relatives have organised appeals through social networks but no trace of Jason has been found in Newcastle, or his home town of Southport, Merseyside. A FaceBook group, set-up in the hope of tracing Jason’s whereabouts has more than 6,000 members. Jason had been drinking at Sam Jacks bar and later at the Tup Tup Palace in Newcastle city centre, before separating from a group of friends on 16th May He then paid a late night visit to another pal’s home in Sandyford before walking off into the night. Jason later posted on his Twitter account: “I find it really sad that was that everyone that I tried to get help. From. Just. Turned. Their. Back.” He failed to return to university halls of residence Bowsden Court, Gosforth. Jason’s brother Shaun, from Southport, said: “I just want him to get in touch, if he’s out there and let us know he’s okay. “Any help would be grately appreciated.” Jason was last seen around 2:45am on Helmsley Road, Newcastle. He is around 5ft 8, is of slim build, and has ginger hair. He was wearing beige chinos, a blue shirt, grey cardigan and brown leather boots.
