Man sentenced for violent assault in Ormskirk November 18th, 2013 admin Latest News Shares Comments A MAN has been jailed for three years and four months for assaulting a man in an unprovoked attack in Ormskirk town centre. Billy Swindells, 20, of Cherrycroft, Skelmersdale, received the custodial sentence today (Monday 18 November) at Liverpool Crown Court after previously pleading guilty to section 18 wounding. He assaulted a 23-year-old man, who was unknown to him, on Wigan Road at 2.30am on 13 March 2013. He kicked the victim to the head repeatedly, causing two fractured cheekbones, a broken nose and severe bruising.
